My parents and two of my brothers, Joe and Tom came down to visit us for a few days. We stayed the first night at our place and then we went camping for 2 nights at Jubilee Lake. We had so much fun, camping, boating in my parent's blow-up kiake, walking around taking in the beautiful nature, eating barbequed food, fishing, hiking, and enjoying each other's company. It was such an amazing time. We also went to a place called Little Meadows, which is up in the blue mountains, and that is where my Grandpa Cheney lived for four years of his life during the Depression, in a cabin with his parents. They just lived off of the area up there. It's amazing what a person can do to survive. My dad went up there with his Dad every year in his childhood, to hunt and spend time up there. It was very touching to watch my Dad get all teary eyed, recalling the memories that he shared with his Dad when he was a boy. He said that that was his tribute to his father, for father's day. He said that there was a lot of great memories made here. I was so happy to be able to share these memories with my Father.

Love your nature shots. I miss camping!!
Looks like so much fun!! We haven't gone camping with the kids yet but are going to start by stoping at Yellowstone on the way to Maryland. How do your kids do sleeping in a tent?
They do alright at night, but nap time was hard because they aren't used to taking a nap next to each other, and it was light outside, so it was PLAY TIME and it took a while for them to go to sleep--but luckily it did still happen.
awesome that your dad got to see the place he went to as a boy. so beautiful. you guys sure know how to enjoy nature.
I miss you guys, too bad we can't relocate all of La Grande and the beautiful surroundings and mountains to just North East of Seattle, and then it would be so easy to hang out all the time.
