After graduating from college in Elementary Education, in August Mark interviewed for and was offered 3 different positions. We prayed together as a family, and couple, about which area was right for us, and which position to take. We received a strong answer that we needed to move to Idaho, and accept that offer.
So with bitter sweet feelings, we packed up our beautiful home {we've
lived in Oregon for about 9 years and in our home for 4.5 years, after
we built it}. All of our kids were born there in Oregon, with the exception of our oldest (who was born in Washington and moved there when he was 3 months old). We said goodbye to many amazing friends and family
members, whom we will miss dearly. But we know that the right place for
us to be is in Idaho, even if it is a difficult change for all of us to
undertake.
We packed up and deep cleaned our home, very quickly, with lots of help from generous and amazing friends and family members.
It was a blessing to us to have so many people helping, because it happened so last minute, and Mark had to commute down to Idaho during the week for his new job, as a 2nd grade teacher.
We will miss Oregon, but we are also excited for our new adventures awaiting us in Idaho.
We loaded up our things into a U-haul truck, {with lots of help from family and friends}.
We said goodbye to our home, friends and family; and headed on our way to our new home in Idaho.
We arrived at our apartment {we are going to sell our home in Oregon, before we build down in Idaho}. We had many generous helpers from our new ward {church}, to help unload. We were excited to be there, and to embark on the adventure before us.
