For the fourth of July this year, we went with Mark's family to Baldey Lake and hiked the 2 miles in and out. It was such a gorgeous hike with many beautiful sites to see along the way. It was wonderfully landscaped. Heavenly Father sure knew what He was doing when he created this place, it is absolutely fabulous. We loved being there in the wonders of nature. Mark's dad (the kid's grandpa Chandler) was very helpful with them, helping get them to the lake. We enjoyed the scenery on the hike and at the lake. I could just sit their for hours. We ate a picnic lunch with Mark's family and then they left and we went around the lake with the kids. They loved playing in the lake and we loved hiking around the lake and spending time together. The only bad thing that happened was that even though we sprayed ourselves with mosquito repellant, Little Man E got like 10 bites on his back--he must be a tasty treat! Later, we went back to our place and enjoyed the great view of the fireworks from the university stadium. It was fantastic. The kids loved seeing the beautiful colors and amazing fireworks and I enjoyed them too and also that we could enjoy them from the comfort of our home and not have to fight traffic on the way home. Ahhh fun AND Relaxing.
